  Visiten el observatorio
Recomiendo que después de visitar el faro, pasen al observatorio ... El cual esta proyectando una tirolesa desde el primer lugar hacía el segundo. El personal es muy relajado.Para mí la parte que más te conecta con la naturaleza son las distintas especies dentro... Desde iguanas, tortugas, pavorreales, tucanes, cotorros,peces koi... la vista y la danza del venado... Los helados que venden están ricos aunque estaría padre que hubiera de más sabores... Los costos varían y si eres estudiante o mayor de edad te aplican descuento...

  Experiencia inigualable

  Great port option for cruisers - away from tourist crowds.
I found this place on Tripadvisor before our cruise and it looked like a nice place to visit on our cruise stop in Mazatlan. First, as of the time of writing this, the Observatorio has a booth at the cruise port. You go to their booth and they get you a shuttle to the location (only a few minutes away), entrance to all of their exhibits, a beer or Margarita at their bar, and a ride back to the port - all for about $30USD per person. You can check their website for all of the details and photos but some of the highlights were:

- the funicular (cliffside elevator) ride to the top of a cliff where most of the action and amazing views are
-tropical bird aviary
-iguana enclosure
-did I mention the amazing views in all directions
-at the very top is a bar that serves the best views along with delicious drinks and some surprisingly good food (we had guacamole and ceviche).

They recommend about an hour and a half but between just enjoying the uncrowded beauty of the place and enjoying food and drinks with an amazing view, we were there for about three hours.

  Great for photo opportunities and great history about Mazatlán!!
This place was so cool! I wish we had given ourselves more time to explore and hangout! So much to see and take pictures of and to learn! Definitely reccomend!

  Great family outing
Our family of all ages loved the observatory - great views, fun trip on the cable car, nice gardens if you walk up or down, incredible staff. The kids (6 & 9) loved seeing all the birds, reptiles and deer. Had a great visit and spent 2-3 hours there. It's pricey so plan ahead and find a time when they have discounts.

  A Must See
A must see if you're in Mazatlan. They have a very informative tour about the history of Mazatlan. They also have an interesting tour regarding the making of Mescal and Tequila. There are bird and iguana sanctuaries, and a fantastic view of the entire area from the Sky Bar with a great menu too. Will be back!

Encontré fascinante todo el OBSERVATARIO, desde el FUNICULAR hasta la ambientación y las vistas. Los guías que nos atendieron : Alexis Vázquez, Andres de La Toba y Enrique Pollorena nos encantaron sus pláticas, fueron muy amenas e interesantes.

  Pirates, pizza and cocktails
The views, the sunsets, the food and more! There is no better place to experience old Mazatlan than this beautifully restored observation restaurant, bar and historically important building

  Well worth a visit
Beautiful place. Clean, well maintained exceptionally helpful staff who assisted us with using the elevator instead of the stairs to get to the second floor as we both have mobility issues.The video about the history of Mazatlan was fascinating.I can read and understand some Spanish but I appreciated the English subtitles. The view from the funicular railway was exquisite as were the grounds on the third level. Interesting birds and iguanas the Observatio itself fascinating. How did the curators manage to retrieve all the pictures furniture the rifles from the Mexican revolution 
That would be a story in itself. Unfortunately we didn’t have a lot of time because I could have stayed all day. I’m planning to come back here next visit.

  Incredible experience
This was my first visit the Observatorio 1873 and it will not be my last.  A history lesson on Mazatlan, amazing vistas out over the town and the Pacific, and interactive Aviary, and so much more.   I'll be back...Take lots of time here...don't rush.
